Practice makes progress

Have you ever heard some people say that they don't do yoga because they are not flexible enough?
Well....when you think you are not flexible, that's the reason you should do yoga. Do not be fooled by media or photos you have seen how yoga bodies should look like. What you see is just Asana poses, only a tiny part of practicing yoga. There are much more going on in your mind and body throughout years of practicing yoga. One of the things i have learned is to appreciate more of simple things around me.
The practice teaches me to be more open minded while i have become close to myself. Happier version of me.
Learning to be patient like practicing inversions.
This clip shows my first headstand back in 2015. Nope i couldn't hold it and i fell almost against the glass door. Very dangerous!! I didn't know how to breathe and engage my core muscles at that time.
In 2017 headstand has become almost my daily thing to do. When i get up or when i feel sleepy, my mind says get my head down. Through the blood flow, i will feel much fresher.
For beginners , please work on your core muscles, back and shoulders first. Use a wall or a sofa to support your back. When you are ready, you could leave the wall. Just make it safe. Enjoy and remember.....everybody is once a beginner.๐Ÿ˜Š❤

Yoga flow headstand

Yoga inversions are my favourite asanas. When i first learned in in 2015, i got dizzy and felt like fainted. Because feet are up and the blood flows down to the head, it is a very healthy way to refresh our brain.  Inversions (headstand, handstand, chinstand, cheststand, forearmstand) are considered advanced yoga poses but with regular practice, it is really fun to do.

Using props when you practice yoga,  is a very great way. Here i used a scarf instead of a strap. When you just start practing yoga, just go for it. Get anything and use anything in your house. Do not invest so much money on buying expensive mats, wheels or straps. When you really think they will worth your money, invest in good quality of props. Well.....i still use a very low budget mat though ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜„

Yoga flow for beginners

The idea of recording my yoga practice was quite scary 2 years ago when i first started practicing yoga. I thought  ...no way i would do that. A lot of people say practicing yoga is a journey. I do agree with them. Everybody is unique, the way we look, the way we walk, the way we like things. Just like yoga, through years i've learned to let go. I used to dance in a corner hiding when i was a kid. I was never brave enough to express my feelings. Now i have 2 lovely kids i try to let them be themselves as much as possible. Dance when they feel like to. Do not mind if people will be  staring. It's ok. It's fine.  There are so many kinds of yoga to practice. I would say that my yoga is mine. It's me. It's the way i move with my emotions and i connect with my breaths. When i feel down, i just need to be on the mat even it's just 10 minutes. It could be a therapy. I move, i let go and i find energy to move on. A lot of times i do yoga flow with eyes closed ........
